Love’s Road Chronology – Development, Financing, Construction

“In 1797, a group of 55 citizens petitioned Virginia’s General Assembly to enact a law that would establish a town ‘on the Lands of John Love in Prince William County on Broad Run, a Branch of the Occoquan river, near said Love’s Mill, agreeable to the Plan of a Town herewith presented and to be called Buck Land.'”
