Love’s Town: Buckland Virginia, a Vision of Early American Commerce

This article from the Cultural Landscape Foundation details some of the unique commercial and entrepreneurial activity that occurred in the town of Buckland. For starters the name Buckland Mills comes from the fact that the town claimed two of the first mills ever built in Virigina.
