The Battle of Buckland Mills was the final chapter of the 11-day Bristoe Campaign in October 1863. Confederate forces under General JEB Stuart routed General Judson Kilpatrick’s Union brigades in the 16-hour cavalry fight on the roads and fields around Buckland.
